  • Introduction

The preparation and use of metal catalysts make possible a great many selective and atom-economical transformations to the synthesis of building blocks and fine chemicals. These catalysts cause the yield within a short time be more. Catalysts are divided into two main types - heterogeneous and homogeneous. Both of them have advantageous and disadvantageous according to reusability and reaction rate. All of the most important organic reactions are addressed in this field, such as C-C coupling, N-arylation, S-arylation, O-arylation, carbonylation, oxidation, reduction and etc. In this issue, we will publish important synthetic reactions that use metals as catalyst. Metals mostly involving copper and palladium, the transition metals that have widest applications in organic reactions. Other metals will be covered in this issue, as well.

    Aims and Scope:
    1. Reactions involving copper or copper complexes.
    2. Reactions involving palladium or palladium complexes.
    3. Reactions involving other metals or other metal complexes.
